Lines Through The Text?

March 19th, 2008 · 7 Comments

A couple of readers have alerted me that there is some sort of problem with the webpage. They’re reporting something about lines through the text, making some posts unreadible.

Is anyone else experiencing this? I can’t seem to replicate it, and I’ve tested it on IE, Safari and Firefox.

If you are experiencing this problem, please let me know in the comments… and be as descriptive as possible. If possible, tell me what browser you are using.

Since I am unable to replicate the problem, I have no idea what is going on.

I have noticed it using IE 6. It usually happens over the last 5 or 6 lines in a post. I have also noticed that when this happens I don’t get a comment box or anything below the last line of the post, although that may be something different.

Thank you! Anyone else? Any info will help.

Might be time to change themes.

I have lines behind the comment box I’m typing this in. For me (in IE 7) the lines seem to appear near the bottom of the add on the left side, going over to the search, archives, and recent readers boxes on the right.
Same thing in Opera. For me it doesn’t seem to be related to the post, but to what’s going on on the sidebars. The lines are the same weight as the small line above “Recent Job Advice.”

It appears to be a CSS issue with the Categories and Archives widgets. There are black lines running across the entire page and bordering those two widgets.

I agree with Chuck Simmins, the lines are extending across the entire page to the left instead of being contained in its

Also I don’t see anything under the Categories section. I can’t tell whether there should be anything there, but if there is no content perhaps rather remove the widget.

I see the Archives and Recent Readers widgets underneath the comments. Surely this is supposed to be on the right column underneath Categories.

    Btw, i’m using Vista IE7, 1440 x 900 resolution at 120DPI
